Istanbul is one of the largest and most populated cities in the world with a population of around 20 million and a diameter equal to the distance from Krakow to Warsaw. In this huge metropolis located on 2 continents, you can find stunning monuments of Byzantine and Ottoman culture, European and Asian culture, modernity and tradition, and above all, delicious cuisine, which is considered as one of the tastiest in the world.
If you want to find out what is worth visiting in Istanbul, how living in Istanbul differs from living in Krakow, learn a few Turkish words and phrases and try traditional Turkish dishes, come to the Turkish Evening at the Turkish restaurant “Çay la Simit” led by Taner – a Istanbulite who married a Polish woman and has been living in Krakow for many years.
During the evening we will taste:
– “lentil cream” – the most popular Turkish soup,
– “Imam bayildi” – traditional Turkish dish made of eggplants,
– “burek” – a type of a pie made from semi-French filo or yufka dough, served with a filling of minced meat, white cheese, or with spinach.
The event is free of charge, everyone pays only for the ordered dish.
