In the full spirit of the festive season, IWAK’s Ye Olde Charity Christmas Banquet took place at Jarema Restaurant, a 40 year old Kraków gem. We welcomed 30 guests in this stylish venue, for a four course traditional Polish Christmas feast and the food, drinks and conversations flowed.
With our most sincere gratitude to the generous sponsors of our charity raffle prizes, as well as those who gave cash donations and purchased raffle tickets, we raised almost 4,000 zł for our chosen charity – The Women’s Rights Centre. IWAK topped up the Christmas Banquet fundraising efforts with money raised earlier in the year, to give the Women’s Rights Centre a donation totalling 6,000 zł.
We are always inspired by the kindness and willingness of our IWAK community to rally behind and support our charitable efforts, so thank you to everyone for coming and making this evening so special. The Committee really loved planning and hosting this event and we hope you enjoyed it!

“The highlight of the year and indeed of the festive season was the IWAK Christmas Banquet in December. Even Covid could not prevent the occasion.
We were delighted to have our Finnish friends join our celebration during their holiday trip. We enjoyed the cosy restaurant in excellent company. We were also pleased to have the opportunity to experience the taste and flavours of the traditional Polish Christmas cuisine. Everyone agreed: there was plenty of food for all to enjoy. We are already looking forward to the next celebration.
