Settling down in a foreign country can be daunting, regardless of whether it’s your first or a hundredth time. We provide support, encouragement and friendly advice on all things Kraków. Through our gatherings and activities we bring women together, connect like-minded individuals with each other, and ignite new friendships (some of which span years and continents!)
September through June we hold regular events:
We give.
We organise regular fundraising events to benefit the less fortunate. Our events vary in scale: from a bake sale or a clothes drive to an annual charity Christmas gala, the IWAK Charity Gala. The causes we support vary as well, but most often we focus on helping children (supporting orphanages, special education schools, etc.)
We have fun.
We offer a range of social and cultural activities: mixers, get-togethers, interest groups, sightseeing tours, coffee meet-ups, nights out on the town – you name it! We create opportunities for women to share and enjoy each other’s experiences and interests, that’s why we have many various activity clubs within the organization: art group, book club, craft circle, running team, baby group for mothers with small kids, etc. The best part is, everyone is invited to bring their own skills to IWAK and help run the association. So if you can dream it, we can make it happen!
