Dear Ladies! The new IWAK year is just around the corner! Here is some important information for you:
Your membership will be confirmed on payment of your dues by end of September (100 zlotys to be paid preferably by bank transfer to the International Women’s Association of Kraków, account no 22 1240 1431 1111 0010 1227 1545 (SWIFT: PKOPPLPW), or in cash to a Committee Member at the coffee morning or Ladies’ Mixer held in September). This is a formality to cover IWAK administration costs, while any leftover funds help sponsor our events and our charity goals. Please note: if you no longer wish to or cannot be a member of our Association, kindly email us so we can remove you from our mailing list and Facebook Group as per IWAK guidelines.
Here is a sample of the activities and events you can expect in the first few months (naturally subject to any pandemic-associated restrictions):
Thursday 16 Sept, 7 – 9 PM: Ladies’ Welcome Mixer to kick off the IWAK year. Please register here to take part and you will be emailed all details. Tickets 50 zł, which includes tapas, welcome drink and water. PLEASE NOTE: your participation is conditional upon payment of 50 zł to the IWAK bank account supplied above by Wednesday 8 September. Friday 24 Sept, 11 AM – 1 PM: IWAK Coffee Morning, Pino River Restaurant – barge at Bulwar Wołyński in front of the hot air balloon on the Vistula. (These meetings are held monthly in different locations around Kraków – further dates/venues to be advised on an ongoing basis.) Please register here
October (exact date TBA): wine tasting event held at Winosfera on Plac Szczepański; a variety of wines and tapas.
First half of Dec, 7 – 11 PM: Charity Polish Wigilia Christmas party (with traditional Polish Christmas eve dishes) at a high-class restaurant with great food and quality wine for IWAK members and their partners.
Other events offered with dates TBA: regular museum and city walks, chocolate-making, bagel-making, pasta-making workshops, bike rides and SUPing (weather permitting), Active IWAK spontaneous sporty meetings, Food and Friends Group with restaurant and café outings, cooking at members’ homes (ZOOM cooking classes in case of lockdown).
